Different characters, same words. Appearance may vary between apps and devices.

How to Use

Enter your label

Type uppercase, lowercase or mixed-case text. Mapped letters use the same small-cap form.

Check the unchanged characters

This mapping has no small-cap replacement for q, s or x. Digits and many accented letters also remain ordinary.

Copy the checked result

Paste it into your destination and inspect the baseline and letter heights before saving.

How Does Copyable Small Caps Work?

This tool substitutes small capital-like Unicode characters drawn from phonetic alphabets and related character sets. It creates copyable text, not a small-caps font file or typographic setting.

The available characters do not form a complete matching alphabet. This tool leaves q, s and x as lowercase letters after case normalization instead of inventing substitutes. For consistent small caps in a document, use a typeface with native small-cap support in your editor.

Where Can I Use It?

Short secondary labels

Try a section label or compact display name where a slightly uneven alphabet is acceptable.

A different understated option

If unchanged letters interrupt your label, compare Monospace or Double-Struck instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are q, s and x not converted?

This tool deliberately omits replacements for those three letters. They remain ordinary lowercase after case normalization, and the preview reports them as unconverted.

Does uppercase input stay full-size?

Mapped uppercase and lowercase input use the same small-cap form. This tool does not preserve a larger initial capital like some typography settings do.

Is this the same as lowering the font size?

No. The output contains different Unicode characters. It does not change the font size setting in the app where you paste it.

Can I make small-cap numbers?

This style does not convert digits. Numbers stay as entered, so they may look taller than nearby small capital-like letters.

Is Small Caps the same as superscript?

No. Small capital-like letters sit near the normal baseline. Superscript characters are raised and use a different, also incomplete mapping.
